About Dr. Robert B. Ingram Elementary School

Dr. Robert B. Ingram Elementary School is a Title I school located at 600 Ahmad Street, Opa-locka, Florida 33054.The school is located on 6.81 acres.  It is located in an urban neighborhood in the heart of Opa-locka's historical district.  This community reflects the rich architectural structure of Arabian history.  

Dr. Robert B. Ingram Elementary School was built in 1937 and nestled in the center of a former military base.  The school was once used to house military personnel.  Today the school is a state-of -the-art facility emphasizing excellent instruction for all students, as well as being a full-service center providing dental, medical, vision, and counseling services for all students.

Dr. Robert B. Ingram Elementary School consists of Pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.  We are currently implementing the following innovative programs to improve Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.  These programs include the Comprehensive Reading Plan,  Intensive Care Unit, America Reads, Compass Learning, Accelerated Reader, Academic Excellence, TEAM, High Scope,  Writing Across the Curriculum, and Teach Me Writing.
